So, if you’ve been looking for JerryHanel.com over the past year, you’ve probably not been able to find it. Well, me either. My web provider was hacked, and everything deleted. I was able to verify that none of my data was taken. All of my data was stored in encrypted databases. However, the hosting company had to clear everything to prevent the spread.

So they did.

All user databases, files, links, logs, articles, posts, ideas, and email lists. Gone. I’ve spent the last year trying to get it all back, but at this point, I’ve come to the realization that I can’t. It’s just gone, and I have to be okay with that.

So where does that leave me? Starting over.

Not that I still don’t have books. I have three great books published, and one really picking up steam in my head. But I’m starting over with my audience base and email lists. I had over 1,000 emails in my lists to announce new giveaways, new releases, author blogs, etc. As of this moment, my email list contains exactly one email. Mine.

So, how can you help?

First, sign up for my newsletter yourself. Even if I had it long ago, I don’t have your address any more, and I would really appreciate it.

Secondly, I would really appreciate it if you would tell your friends and family about my page and direct them here. If they feel so inclined, they can sign up for my newsletter. If you’ve signed up before, you know that I only send about one email a year. Okay, maybe two. I don’t spam, and I don’t sell or distribute your addresses.

I’ve moved everything to this new server. It is highly secure, and a stellar reputation for keeping the bad guys and viruses out. Yes, it’ll cost a wee bit more, but at this point, I’m okay with that.

I’ll be spending the next week or so trying to get my domain (jerryhanel.com) off of its current site and transitioned to this blog. Until then, this will be my new website.

Take a moment to leave a comment to let me know you were here, and I’ll be sure to say hello.
